Pregnant Mom and Two-Year Old Child Killed in Philadelphia Row House Fire

The fire broke out around 4 a.m. Friday on North 4th Street.

The victims were found on the second floor, where officials say the mother was found cradling her child.

Authorities on scene say the mother went back into the home in an attempt to save her two-year-old child.

Family members on scene have identified the mother and son as Elizabeth Perez and Nathaniel Richardson. The family also told FOX 29's Dave Kinchen Perez was eight months pregnant.

Two other adults and four children were taken to a hospital. There is no word on their conditions.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
